
Media Analysis Project


The purpose of this media analysis project was to critically examine how media and societal expectations contribute to gender stereotypes in the technology field, particularly in computer science. The analysis included examining the images and ideas conveyed in the media and considering their impact on students, teachers, and schools and summarizing my findings, providing a comprehensive overview of the representation of girls and women in the media and its implications for their education, career aspirations, self, and societal perceptions. Through this assignment, I aimed to reflect on the challenges and the barriers girls face in pursuing careers in technology and how media representations can influence their participation, emphasizing the importance of breaking these stereotypes to foster inclusivity.
