Data-Informed Decision Making
This assignment provided a valuable opportunity to apply data-informed decision-making within a three-tiered (Ci3T) support system, a cornerstone of special education. By analyzing real-world data sources like the SRSS-E7 and SRSS-I5, I assessed student needs, selected targeted interventions, and aligned them with evidence-based strategies. Integrating multiple data points—attendance records, discipline referrals, and screening scores—reinforced the importance of comprehensive assessment and strategic intervention planning to optimize student outcomes and resource use. Beyond data analysis, this experience highlighted the collaborative nature of
intervention planning, emphasizing the essential role of educators, families, and support
specialists in creating effective, team-based solutions.
